Permanent - Technician - Ekurhuleni (East Rand) - South Africa

• Install, commission and maintain CNC laser cutting machines.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and machine-control faults.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and machine inspections.
• Attend breakdowns and service calls and provide technical support.
• Conduct site assessments and provide technical input for machine quotations.
• Assist with project planning, costing and technical feasibility assessments.
• Ensure projects and service jobs are completed within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Complete accurate job cards, service reports and technical documentation.
• Provide professional customer service and communicate technical issues clearly.
• Identify and escalate technical, safety, quality and cost risks.
• Support and mentor other technicians where required.
• Stay up to date with new CNC laser technology and manufacturer requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Relevant technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, CNC or related field.
• Previous experience working with CNC machinery, preferably fibre laser cutting machines.
• Experience in machine installation, commissioning, servicing and fault-finding.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability.
• Good technical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.
