Permanent - Workshop Technician - Ekurhuleni (East Rand) - South Africa

Role Summary

• Reporting to the Workshop Manager, carrying out repairs, servicing and refurbishing of EMT construction equipment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Keep abreast of new technology
• Work to health and safety standards
• Report any discrepancy relating to jobs
• Report any discrepancy relating to jobs
• Maintain company standards regarding jobs carried out
• Pre-delivery inspections on new and used cranes
• Refurbishment of used cranes
• Servicing of EMT Construction equipment
• Carry out repairs on EMT Construction equipment
• Care of company tooling supplies

Computer skills:

• Must have knowledge of Microsoft office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Candidate will receive training on internal systems/computer programmes

Years of Experience

• Minimum 4-5 years' experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Industry – Mining, Construction, supply and a service management industry 
• A valid driver’s license is also essential
• No Company Vehicle 
• Experience in  Hydraulic, engines and basic electrics
• Experience working with Earthmoving machines that require programming, automation, etc.
• The Applicant must have EMT industry experience
