- We are seeking a skilled Generator Technician to join our team in the field of Industrial Generators
- As a Generator Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting industrial generators to ensure they are operating efficiently
- Your expertise in electrical systems, engine mechanics, and generator technology will be essential in providing reliable power solutions for our clients
- Install and commission industrial generators according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and system inspections to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues affecting generator operation
- Conduct load bank testing and other performance assessments to verify generator functionality
- Respond to service calls and emergency breakdowns to provide on-site repairs and technical support
- Keep accurate records of services performed, parts used, and maintenance schedules
- Interact with clients to provide technical expertise, answer questions, and offer recommendations for generator upgrades or replacements
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and principles
- Proficiency in engine mechanics and power generation technology
- Knowledge of generator control systems and automatic transfer switches
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and customer service abilities
- Physical stamina and technical dexterity to perform hands-on tasks in various environments

- Physical ability to handle, lift, and maneuver heavy equipment and generator components
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to working with industrial generators
- Familiarity with various types of industrial generators, including diesel, gas, and natural gas models
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot generator issues using technical manuals, diagnostic equipment, and tools
- Competence in performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and belt adjustments
- Understanding of electrical systems and circuits to effectively test and repair generator components
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and supervisors
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete generator installations, repairs, and maintenance projects
- Detail-oriented mindset to accurately document work performed, parts used, and repair procedures
- Flexibility to work on-call or during emergencies to address generator failures or power outages
- Problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve complex generator issues in a timely manner
