Reports To: Business Unit Manager

Job Summary:  The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing key accounts, developing strategic relationships, and driving sales to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts in the poultry industry, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Sales Strategy: Implement and execute SAM/KAM sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets and business goals.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify opportunities for growth and competitive positioning.
  • Resource Allocation: Coordinate with internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on account status, sales performance, and market trends.
  • Customer Support: Provide exceptional customer service and support, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, technical, and product development teams to align strategies and achieve business objectives.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profit and ensure mutual benefit.

Qualifications:

  • Education: BVSc, BSc degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or account management within the poultry industry.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in poultry production or feed additives.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Familiarity with the South African poultry market.

Technical Skills:

  • Proven leadership and team management abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of the poultry market and business acumen
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Strategic thinker with experience in developing and executing Account Business Plans
  • Strong negotiation, closing, and decision-making capabilities
  • Expertise in building and maintaining relationships with key clients and stakeholders
