Permanent - Carrier Compliance Officer - Johannesburg - South Africa

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Carrier Compliance Officer to manage and maintain the standards of our third-party carrier network. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring carrier compliance, onboarding new carriers, and maintaining operational excellence

Key Responsibilities:

1. Screen and evaluate third-party carrier applicants to ensure suitability.
2. Guide carriers through the registration and onboarding process, including training on company standards and app usage.
3. Inspect carrier vehicles to confirm adherence to safety and operational requirements.
4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of carrier information in a centralized database.
5. Monitor carrier performance and enforce compliance with company policies and service level agreements (SLA).
6. Administer disciplinary actions for non-compliance and address protocol breaches.
7. Source and recruit new carriers in specific regions as required to meet operational demands.
8. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth integration of carriers into the service network.
9. Tend to carrier queries relating to order adjustments and communicate any adjustments to clients via email 

Requirements:

• Experience:
• Proven experience in compliance, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry standards is an advantage.
• Skills:
• Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and database management systems.
• Excellent communication skills for training and addressing non-compliance.
• Attention to detail and the ability to conduct thorough inspections and evaluations.
• Problem-solving skills to address non-compliance issues effectively.
