Reporting to the Production Manager
Main Purpose of the job: Manage foundry division.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage team members (supervisors) in sand, die casting, pattern shop and toolroom.
Co-ordinate pattern shop, pattern store and toolroom activities.
Output to meet job/order book as per daily, weekly and monthly scheduled requirements.
Quality to meet customer specifications.
Downtime reduction by means of compliance with Maintenance procedures.
Cost reduction by initiation of cost saving and continuous improvement exercises.
Motivate, set targets and standards, measure performances, give feedback and develop people.
Manage machine maintenance by ensuring and monitoring compliance.
Facilitate and mentor team members.
Ensuring continuous improvement at the work place.
Involving team members in problem solving decisions or by running improvement teams.
Ensure team maintains safety, housekeeping and company standards and regulations.
