Purpose of the job:
- The sales representative is expected to build strong customer relationships, identify new market opportunities and stay updated on product and industry trends.
- The purpose is to drive sales by promoting- and selling to and supporting customers to achieve monthly and annual targets, as well as market share growth of the branch
Key areas of responsibility:
- Sales & Business Development:
- Identify, approach and frequently visit existing and potential customers
- Present and demonstrate agriculture machines and implements
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed targets
- Market and assist customers with finance deal options and structures
- Compare different equipment models based on efficiency and long-term cost savings
- Sales Targets & Performance Analysis
- Achieve monthly and quarterly targets in order to increase market share
- Provide accurate forecasting in accordance with market segment trends and target market share
- Understand and explain financing options, interest rates, instalment plans (and other relevant financing requirements) to customers
- Customer Relationship Management
- Build & Maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Provide after-sales support and follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction
- Address customer concerns and provide solutions to their needs
- Continuously ensure a professional and effective service delivery to customers
- Product Knowledge & Technical expertise
- Stay updated on the latest agricultural equipment usage, features and benefits
- Stay updated with the latest trends on technology
- Stay updated with precision farming trends and application in the mechanisation sector
- Sales Admin, systems and reporting:
- Prepare quotations and proposals using SAP, Sales App and Microsoft Office programs
- Calculate profit margins and discounts accurately
- Load and maintain customer and visits detail on CRM
- Ensure correct administrative procedures followed to ensure deals’ successful completion
- Monitoring stock on hand on a regular basis
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
