Duties
Maintenance on the following
- Manufactures modify and erect plant or parts thereof as detailed engineering drawings.
- Assist with commissioning, operating and maintenance of test facilities or client products in accordance with program so that project may be executed according to plan.
- Analyse faulty equipment to determine the cause of break down and implement suitable repair of replacement activities in conjunction with the foreman.
- Test individual plant components as per prescribed procedures to ensure that the overall plant function is achieved recommend changes to the procedure for future use.
- Attend to machinery defects and recommend corrective actions to the Foreman for support.
- Assist in the training of inexperience artisans and trade workers
- Take control of the workmanship and safety of trade workers under his control.
- Ensure that safety procedures are sustained with regard to machinery and to uphold safety standards.
